Trust Deeds:

What are the advantages of a trust deed?

The advantages of a trust deed are as follows:

  • You enter a fixed monthly payment plan based on what you can actually afford
  • You may be able to save your heritable property
  • You no longer have to deal with your creditors yourself as your Trustee will do this
  • Your creditors can take no further action against you as long as you keep up your agreed, affordable, monthly payments
  • At the end of the (normally) three year period of the trust deed you will be completely free of debt
  • As you have made the first move, you know who you are dealing with, and a Trustee has greater flexibility in obtaining you an early Discharge.
